Gargoyles

November 19th, 2009

Last weekend I was celebrating the 30th birthday of my girlfriend (happy birthday again darling) so we pretty much did romantic things. Back home I stumbled upon the amazing Gargoyles of the Notre Dame. Too bad I missed it because right now I need a couple pictures of them of my one and my pick pockets are empty right now. Well, there’s always a good reason to visit Paris. Maybe soon.

The Revival Premiere

November 9th, 2009

Friday the 27th of November will be a nice evening. Roy from Rotterdam Fixed Gear will be hosting The Revival Premiere by Wayne Morehart at Club Zonder Concessies. After the movie there will be a trick session which sounds promising because everyone might got inspired by the movie to hopefully push it to the max. I guess nice things might occur. Guess I’ll bring my new Leica M3 with B/W Neopan 1600 film to shoot some candy. Hit the read more for the trailer.

Etnies Eco Suite

We all know the drill. Picking the right hotel of hostel. Take upcoming weekend when we’ll be heading for Paris. My girl had the oportunity to pick a hotel. The result, she couldn’t choose between a dozen of them. I guess it’s my turn to pick a hotel for our next trip. I hope it will be one to Laguna Beach, CA because they made it easy for me since I def. would book a suite in Casa Surf Porject. They have 10 suites which we’re decorated by 10 different companies such as Etnies, Billabong, Roxy, Lost, Quiksilver and others. Ever had a skateboard minibar or a wall which displays moving water images with watery sounds to help you fall asleep? I don’t think so. Hit the read more for more rooms.

Leica M3 rangefinder camera

November 4th, 2009

I’m on LSD. Well, not really but the effect is almost the same. I treated myself a nice present for becoming 28 by giving myself a Leica M3 Rangefinder camera set with a Summicron 50mm with glasses and an Elmarit 90mm lens. The set came with several polarisation and UV filters, a light meter and a bunch of Fuji B/W Neopan 1600 film. O right and a vintage leather case to give it the whole experience. About time to hit the streets and let the shutter do it’s work. Hope to share some of my work soon on this medium or another. Keep you posted. Fuck, i’m happy!

Fresno the movie

October 30th, 2009

It’s not all depression when the economic recession comes up. Take the US. Houses are being foreclosed and there are actually good people profiting from it, the skaters. Dozen or even hundreds of swimming pools got abandoned over the last year and formed new spots to ride. It’s good to see the world giving some back to the scene. Steve Payne documented the phenomenon and called it Fresno. Hit the trailer after the jump.
