Press + by Benjamin Ducroz
December 15th, 2009Ok, lets start by saying we’re a tad late on this one. The video above by Benjamin Ducroz is a crazy experiment in mixed media video. It’s called Press + and features 3D animation as well as frames of the animation printed out and treated with watercolor and ink. The combination of these mediums is really what makes this video special. To think that he printed out a bunch of these frames and customized them, that’s some dedication. Want to experience the process? Hit Ducroz, it will amaze you.
Nosaj Thing Visual Show
December 14th, 2009Crazy! This just might be the next level of experiencing gigs. I think things are really going this way by saying that the laptop will be more dominant in the years to come because of its versatility. It simply has it all. And just watching a guy behind a laptop pressing some buttons might not do the trick. Nosaj Thing definitely does.
Bode | Botlek | Erosie
December 14th, 2009
New exhibition in Ship of Fools. From December 11th till January 29th you’ll find the work of Luuk Bode, Daan Botlek and Erosie. They recently developed into an interesting similar approach, compared to being from very different planets in the past. All three of them play with their diverse backgrounds in the search for a way to react on their love/hate relationship with today’s excessive (visual) culture.
