Or in plain English, ‘The Take Away Shows‘ puts a smile on my face on a daily base. The concept is simple yet so damn well executed by the directorVincent Moon. They invite artists and bands to perform on various locations. On a lake, in an elevator, on the street, parkinglot, a park and so on. There are no rehearsals just play and record it. The fun part is that the videos are far from flawless and that is what makes these videos so good. Spontaneous is the key. And little errors are very much welcome. Yesterday we saw Cold War Kids performing live in Watt Rotterdam and they kicked ass. They were also shot by the French guys from La Blogotheque. Like it! Even crazier, take Liars. Some may find it noisy shit but the setting and creativity in this video hits the right spot.You can see their video here.
The success of the concerts à emporter lanched when Vincent Moon got involved. He wanted to share music differently. So they gave him a camera et voila, a sick website full of great performers doing the thing they do best. This all resulted in other directors joining the project and plan to extend it worldwide. Nice!
